State Police Headquarters, Rhode Island State

SG provided full programming, planning, schematic design, design development and construction documentation consulting services to the firm of Robinson Green Beretta (RGB) of Providence, RI. The 145,000 SF facility aims to consolidate a variety of formerly separated functions into one building and houses the State Police administrative operations, holding, 9-1-1 communications, the State crime laboratory, and all fleet maintenance and operations. In addition to responding to significant functional needs, the facility design also responds aesthetically to the State’s desire to portray a classic image to the public.

Also in association with RGB, SG provided programming, planning and design services to fit-out the new E9-1-1 space located within the new State Police Headquarters facility. The new 16,000 SF E9-1-1 center accommodates 18 positions with room to expand for an additional four positions. The center has fully redundant HVAC and electrical systems and acts as the 9-1-1 PSAP for the entire State of Rhode Island.
