Phoenixville Area High School, Phoenixville Area School District

The Phoenixville Area High School is located on the District’s main campus that also serves the Phoenixville Area Middle School and adjacent K-1 Primary/2-5 Manavon Elementary School. With multiple additions over the years, the high school is virtually land locked so as the need for additional classroom space became apparent, the solution was to repurpose an interior courtyard for additional classroom space. This addition across from the Media Center provided a central link between both sides of the building to improve the overall circulation of the facility. To improve the security of the building, a new entrance vestibule at the auditorium lobby was added to provide a secured reception area adjacent to the main administration office, which clearly identifies this as the main public entrance to the building.
